Wooden Mosaic no.3
Wooden Mosaic no.3
I love dyeing fabrics, especially using the shibori technique. There’s a few ways you can create patterns in shibori, and one of them is using different wooden blocks to resist the dye. I use a combination of paper and wood to achieve my patterns. This assemblage is made using the small wooden blocks. They absorb all of that beautiful indigo, creating unique one of a kind tiles. Instead of being discarded, they get used here in these wooden mosaics.
